The state-of-the-art MIFARE DESFire EV3 cards are multi-application capable and contactless credentials. They include an embedded antenna and an integrated circuit, enabling contactless reading with the respective readers. EV3 credentials can be used simultaneously with EV1 credentials on installations with readers from Bosch. These proximity cards can be expanded with customer applications without the need for a PICC (Proximity Integrated Circuit Card) master key. The size of the card conforms to the ISO standard size, enabling surface printing with conventional ISOcompatible card printers.
