Cleerline SSF™ Spider Breakout Kits allow efficient build-up of 250 µm fibers found in today’s common micro distribution style cables. With a Spider Breakout Kit, the overall jacket of the fiber cable can be removed and each 250 µm strand threaded through the kit’s 2.0 mm color-coded buffer tubes. Our specially designed grommet strain relief boot simplifies the completion of the assembly. Each fiber strand is encased in a 2.0 mm tube, allowing termination following instructions for 2.0 mm jacketed fiber. Using a spider breakout kit provides additional protection to 250 µm fibers that might be installed in a pass-through plate, equipment rack, or other exposed location. Spider breakout kits include aramid strength members in each buffer tube. Loose tube spider breakout kits are available in 6 and 12 strand configurations. These kits work with all 250 µm type single-mode or multimode cabling and industry standard connectors.
