This Active Fiber Optic Cable contains an active chip to process and distribute the data signal which will work with most equipment. As with any active cables, in some cases, there can be performance or compatibility challenges with certain laptops, PCs, cameras or other USB devices depending on a variety of system conditions. One USB-C connector is marked "Source" and the other USB-C connector is marked "End" to ensure that the source and the destination USB device are properly connected.
