This hardened Gigabit Mini PD Media Converter is a PoE powered device which provides a cost-effective method for integrating fiber optic cabling into hardened or outdoor 10/100/1000 UTP environments. The device is powered through the RJ-45 copper port when connected to power sourcing equipment, meaning no separate power connection is required. With its miniature size, the Mini offers a space saving alternative while it converts copper to fiber within a very small footprint.
The M/GE-ISW-SFP-01-PD supports a wide operating temperature range, is powered through the copper cabling, offers multiple mounting methods, and is supported by Transition Networks' Lifetime Warranty. This problem solver will alleviate power concerns and ensure a quick and trouble-free installation in harsh outdoor or hardened applications.
