The GEMC-FPRINT Parallel Printer Interface is a Fire bus-connected device that allows the Gemini C-Series control panels to be connected to a parallel printer for the purpose of recording system activity. When installed on a Gemini C-Series control panel that has been programmed via PCD-Windows v.6.0 (or greater), the GEMC-FPRINT will create reports using the same custom User, Area and Zone descriptions which have been entered into the downloader software (see PROGRAMMING). The GEMC-FPRINT provides signal and ground isolation between the control panel and the printer and protects the control panel from shorts, transients and surges that may emanate from the printer or the associated cabling.
