The Paxton 390-135-US PROXIMITY Panel Mount Reader is an access control device compatible with Switch2 and Net2 systems. It operates by reading tokens and communicating with the control unit to verify user access permissions, granting or denying access accordingly. The reader wiring corresponds directly to the control unit label for straightforward installation. Indication of access status includes three LEDs: all lit by default, with the green LED flashing for granted access and the red LED flashing for denied access, accompanied by an audible tone in both cases.

- The reader is wired as shown on the control unit label
- Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. The control unit verifies the information and grants or denies access as appropriate
