The Alpha Communications® PK407A specialty relays are used for a variety of reasons. The PK407A can be connected to a standard 12VAC or 16VAC electric door opener output from many intercom amplifiers to allow connection to a magnetic or different type or voltage door opener. It can also be used to provide a 'Form C' relay contact from virtually any 12VAC-16VAC input source. The PK407A can even be powered directly from a 12VAC or 16VAC transformer.
As long as a 12VAC to 16VAC source is present, the PK407A will engage, providing a normally-open and a normally closed set of contacts, with a shared 'common' screw terminal.
The PK407A relays are designed to easily surface mount right onto the finished wall by means of self-stick mounting tabs or by using the mounting holes provided for screw mounting.
Connections are positive screw terminal type, using a barrier type terminal connector strip.
